Maintenance & Care

These products are quite easy to maintain. Brush or vacuum them, regularly. They can also be cleaned by a professional laundromat or you can do it yourself, at home. In this case, bear in mind these steps: if stained you should clean it immediately, using a wet sponge and soap. Avoid the stain sinking deep into the felt. After that, just squeeze the item, without twisting it. Let it dry on a flat surface, flattening the piece into shape with your hands, avoiding direct sunlight. Once it has dried, finish by ironing, placing a piece of cotton cloth between the iron and the piece.

This product has a 3 year warranty. Includes production-related issues or material failures. During that time, we will repair or replace the product. The guarantee excludes all damage caused by misuse, negligence or natural wear and tear of the product.

Where are made the felt table mats?

It is in São João da Madeira, in Portugal, where the Feltrando products are born. One by one, every piece is carefully weaved with felt waste from the Portuguese hat making industry.

Does the felt table mats shed fine fibers or tufts?

Fiber shedding is normal with a new felt table mats and should subside after a few weeks. And if a single tuft extends beyond the table linen’s surface, simply cut it off. Do not pull it out.

How to remove stains from my felt placemat?

The most important thing here is to remove any stains while they are still fresh. Only in this way can you prevent stains from penetrating deep into the fibres. Do not rub the stain, but rather absorb the liquid using an absorbent cloth (and always working from the outside in). If initial measures and home remedies are unsuccessful, there are still a few options available to you: wet cleaning, chemical cleaning agents or a professional cleaning service. Just be careful and take colour fastness into consideration. Test cleaning agents on an inconspicuous spot first.
