Taking care of your furniture and home accessories
Wood & Veneer
Frequent dusting will help you to maintain the lustre of varnish. Use a dry, soft cotton cloth. Dry the surfaces thoroughly afterwards. Both wood and veneer can be damaged by liquids, so if you spill anything on it, be sure to wipe it dry immediately. If you need to remove any stains, go gently – use mild soap and warm water (but never a very soaking wet cloth).
Do not use abrasive detergent/cleaning products.
To protect the base of the product, verify if any surface can damage its base. Attaching felt pads to the bottom of the products can help to prevent scratches and dents as well.
Avoid contact with hot surfaces. It could leave marks which cannot be removed afterwards.
These materials are both sensitive to light. Avoid direct sunlight to keep the natural tonality of the wood. In case of being exposed to sunlight, we’d recommend that you avoid leaving anything on the furniture surfaces for the first 6-8 weeks. This should help you avoid any marks or rings appearing if the furniture lightens in the sun.
Upholstered furniture will lighten over time if it’s exposed to direct sunlight, so be careful where you place your furniture pieces.
